BLACK HALO WEBSITE GETS MAKEOVER IN HONOR OF TENTH ANNIVERSARY

LOS ANGELES—Black Halo is giving its website a makeover, unveiling the new look on November 8, 2011 as part of the brand’s tenth anniversary celebration taking place over the next 12 months. The updated site provides users with an increased insider view into the brand through exclusive content and collection sneak peeks, while also improving functionality with more user-friendly navigation features and increasing user accessibility to brand news and social media.

A major focus of the website’s makeover is the e-commerce component, which will allow shoppers to customize their search and filter by specifics like category, size, color and price. A “Wishlist” feature has also been added, where site visitors can store their favorite Black Halo items to revisit at another time. Most excitingly, Black Halo will offer new, online-only styles sold exclusively through the website.

The website makeover also aims to maximize Black Halo’s social media exposure across all platforms. Links to the brand’s Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube pages will be displayed as logos in the site’s footer, as will a one-click link for users to share the Black Halo site through their own social media accounts. The Black Halo blog will also be accessible through the site’s “Vibe” section, featuring news about the brand and its designer Laurel Berman, along with sneak peeks of new collections and video clips recently posted to the YouTube page.

Also included within the site’s “Vibe” section will be highlights of Black Halo press coverage and photos of the brand’s many celebrity fans wearing pieces from the collection. An archive featuring images of past season collections will be available for site visitors to browse as well, enabling them to learn more about the evolution of the Black Halo brand.

With the company’s tenth anniversary commencing this November, the website makeover serves to both recognize Black Halo’s natural progression and establishment within the digital world, and commemorate all it has accomplished since it began ten years ago.

ABOUT BLACK HALO:

True to its name, Black Halo finds inspiration in the beauty of contradiction. Designer Laurel Berman fuses rebel with romance to create a collection that is both edgy and feminine, while simple principles of construction and form remain at the core. Since its first collection debuted in 2002, Black Halo has expanded from its Los Angeles roots to become an internationally renowned brand, gaining celebrity fans in Heidi Klum, Blake Lively, Fergie, Lady Gaga, and Eva Mendes. Despite its wide distribution, the business remains vertically integrated in Los Angeles, from its Arts District factory and recently expanded showroom in downtown’s Garment District, epitomizing “Made in L.A.”
